|
| MIRRA is co-director of The
College of Purna Yoga™ and Yoga
Centers™, in Bellevue, Washington, with
her husband, Aadil Palkhivala. She
teaches Purna Yoga Meditation™, a profound meditation based on
her
inner contact with great masters and her soul, using simple techniques
applicable in
day-to-day life. Purna Yoga Meditation is a practical
approach
to meditation based on using the gifts of the mind to go into the heart
chakra and connect with
the Pillar of Light, the soul in the physical body. She
has
practiced meditation since 1986, sometimes for 18 hours a
day.
Her techniques have helped her through many life-threatening illnesses
and death experiences. Mirra is the author of Meditation Snacks™ and Meditation Meals™ and has taught meditation throughout
the world since 1993. Mirra teaches ongoing meditation
classes and annual workshops at Yoga Centers and throughout
the U.S., Europe, Mexico, and India. Her
classes emphasize active meditation as a way of life. She has
discovered, "Meditation is extremely logical and practical.
Instead of taking me away from life, it has taught me how to truly live
it." Her teachings are an
integral
part of Purna Yoga. She has a charming
teenage daughter, Zenia. |
